Vladimir Gadzhev (born on 18 July 1987) is a Bulgarian footballer who is playing for Levski Sofia. Gadzhev plays as a central midfielder.

Career

Youth career

He had trained at Levski Sofia's Youth Academy before he moved to Panathinaikos in 2004.

Levski Sofia

On 4 July 2008 Gadzhev signed again with Levski. He is a loaned player until the end of 2008/2009 season. On 31 May 2009 in a match against Minyor Pernik, Gadzhev made Levski a champion, scoring the second goal in the match, making the result 1:1 - the draw that made Levski a champion. On 7 July 2009 Levski and Panathinaikos came to an agreement on Vladimir Gadzhev's transfer and the midfielder signed a three year contract with Levski.

On 15 July 2009 he opened his goal account with a goal in the first official match for Levski during 2009/2010 season. The event took place in the 2nd Qualifying round of UEFA Champions League, where Levski beaten the team of UE Sant Julià. The result of the match was 4:0 with a home win for Levski. On 1 August 2009 he came on as a substitute in the Bulgarian Supercup final. Unfortunately at the end of the game Vladimir Gadzhev received a very heavy injury. The diagnose was damaged torn knee ligaments. Cause of that Vladimir missed the first part of the season and left a big hole in the midfield of Levski. However in January 2010 it was announced that Gadzhev recovered from his injury. On 16 March 2010 he played 60 minutes for the double of Levski against Litex. The match ended 2-2 and Gadzhev was the captain of the team making an assist for one of the goals.

Gadzhev made his official return on 20 March 2010 against Slavia Sofia. Gadzhev entered the match as a substitute in 67th minute. The result was 3-0 and Levski won the match. In 2009/2010 season, Levski however achieved qualifying for UEFA Europa League becoming 3rd in the final ranking.

On 28 July 2011, he scored the equalizing goal against Spartak Trnava in UEFA Europa League and afterwards Levski won the game with a 2:1 final score.

National team

Gadzhev made his international debut on the 17th November 2010 in a friendly match against Serbia. Vladimir came in as a substitution in the 65th minute. However, Bulgaria lost the match with a score of 0-1.
